For those IT¹ staff still with a U.S.  job,  a word to the wise: get your business skills in place or you're not looking at a career future in IT¹.

With tight budgets and demanding revenue targets,  questions like these are increasingly urgent.  To obtain reliable answers,  you need the ability to create Customer intelligence from the mountains of disconnected Customer data you collect on a daily basis.

Basically,  an organization is a group of people intentionally organized to accomplish an overall,  common goal or set of goals.  Business organizations can range in size from two people to tens of thousands.

Even though the effort-driven setting is turned on by default,  IT¹ doesn't make a difference in your scheduling until you add resources to or remove resources from a task.

The key to a successful Project Management is in the planning: 1 - being clear on the objectives,  deciding how to work together as a team,  2 - thinking through how to approach the scope,  3 - setting up a schedule and budget,  4 - understanding clearly what will make the deliverable acceptable to the client of the project.

Public relations includes ongoing activities to ensure the organization has a strong public image.  Public relations activities include helping the public to understand the organization and its products.  

Project Management planning is preparation for those who will be in action.  We waste our time when we plan by ourselves.  Have planning conversations.  Engage your team — the project performers — in those conversations.  Review the overall plan on a regular basis.  Add details to later phases of your project as you go taking into consideration what really happened,  what you’ve learned,  changing client conditions of satisfaction,  and the innovations that you’ve put in place.
